Events

Throughout the year several events are hosted or sponsored by the Junction Business Improvement Area. Well attended by local residents and beyond there is fun to be had by all age groups. Annual events are:
The CONTACT Photography Festival held throughout the month of May. The BIA is a major player for the world's largest photography festival. In 2009 we hosted more shows than anywhere else in Toronto with thousands of people attending.
For the Holiday Season there is the Santa Event for the children and the Seasonal Light Exchange.
Earth Hour in March is when the Junction joins the rest of the world to we show our respect for the planet by turning off or dimming our lights and offering food and drinks by candle light in our many establishments plus we host the launch of a beautiful candle light march through the area.

In October don’t miss our Pumpkinfest - A wonderful family event with pumpkin carving, and scary movies at the Rue Morgue House of Horror. There are many terrific celebrations throughout the year hosted by our very active community organizations.
